We are looking for a reliable, motivated and committed Divisional Key Account Lead to join our Environmental Chemistry Team. As a member of our Team, it is key that you are able to work efficiently and independently, as well as working well as part of a wider Team. Your role will include:
Strategic Account Management
- Develop and execute tailored account management strategies for the top 10 strategic accounts within the Environmental Science division
- Build and maintain C-level relationships with key decision makers within assigned accounts
- Conduct regular account reviews to ensure client satisfaction and identify opportunities for growth
- Create and implement strategic account plans with clear objectives, timelines, and revenue targets
- Monitor market trends and competitive activity to maintain SOCOTEC's position as the preferred partner
Customer On-boarding Leadership
- Lead the comprehensive on-boarding process for new strategic customers
- Develop and implement standardised on-boarding procedures to ensure smooth transition from prospect to key account
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer experience during the on-boarding phase
- Establish key performance indicators to track on-boarding success and customer satisfaction
- Create feedback mechanisms to continuously improve the on-boarding process
Revenue Growth & Business Development
- Identify and capitalise on opportunities to maximise revenue from key accounts
- Drive cross-selling initiatives both within the division and across the wider SOCOTEC group
- Set and achieve ambitious but realistic revenue targets for each key account
- Develop upselling strategies to expand service utilisation within existing accounts
- Monitor and report on account performance metrics to senior management
Bid & Tender Leadership
- Lead the development and submission of strategic bids and tenders for key accounts
- Co-ordinate input from technical teams to create compelling, customer-focused proposals
- Develop pricing strategies that maximise value for both the client and SOCOTEC
- Represent SOCOTEC in client presentations and negotiations
- Analyse win/loss outcomes to continuously improve bid strategy and success rates
Marketing & Exhibition Strategy
- Lead the development and implementation of targeted marketing strategies for the Environmental Science division
- Identify and prioritise key industry exhibitions and events that align with business objectives
- Represent SOCOTEC at high-profile industry events and speaking engagements
- Work with marketing teams to develop compelling content and materials for key accounts
- Measure and report on ROI from marketing and exhibition activities
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Good communication at all levels with good organisational skills
- Client focus and a drive for quality
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent customer service skills
About Environmental Chemistry:
Our Environmental Chemistry Department specialises in the testing and analysis of soils, waters, leachates, effluents, industrial wastes, and marine sediments from our accredited laboratories in Burton-on-Trent. Operating from state of the art laboratories holding fully comprehensive ISO27025 and MCERTS accreditations, we are able to meet the standards that our clients require.
