Job Description
DOCSIS CPE Engineers / Testers - Berkshire / Reading
Location: 2 days a week onsite
Must be able to start in the next 3 weeks
This role is location-sensitive: the candidate must be willing to work on-site at 2 days per week, with 3 days remote work. This hybrid setup is non-negotiable.

DOCSIS CPE Engineers / Testers - Berkshire / Reading

The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for validating, analysing, and troubleshooting DOCSIS-based Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) and related technologies. Your work will contribute directly to the reliability, stability, and performance of next-generation connectivity solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct functional validation and performance/stability checks of DOCSIS modems and CPE devices.
- Analyze network data using tools such as Wireshark.
- Test DOCSIS-related functionality including IP, UDP, and TCP behavior (OSI layers 2–4).
- Perform WiFi testing (standards 6.0 and 7.0).
- Carry out UI testing and mobile app testing on Android and iOS platforms.
- Work in a Linux environment and use command-line tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support issue identification and resolution.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in networking and CPE environments.
- Hands-on experience with DOCSIS technologies and modem/CPE validation.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (IP, UDP, TCP) and WiFi standards.
- Experience with Linux (command-line usage).
- Knowledge of mobile platforms (Android/iOS) and UI validation.
