Brief Description
What will you be doing?
- The key purpose of the Infrastructure Investment function is the efficient delivery of renewals and enhancements through improved specification, better utilisation of resources and the professional control and management of projects.
- Its focus is to renew and enhance the rail infrastructure to deliver our commitments for the future through increased efficiency and value for money.
- As a document controller within this busy function you will provide a document control service, maintaining effective control of all project documentation, consistent with national standards and processes.
About The Role (External)
Combining your organisational skills and keen eye for detail you will establish and maintain document control processes, carefully monitor our project teams so that they comply with procedures and manage the storage of soft and hard copy media.
Your strong relationship building and communication skills will help you to control the information flows between Network Rail and our
External suppliers in accordance with document control requirements.
It’s not necessary for you to have rail industry experience. In fact, what will set you apart is your motivation and natural flair for dealing with people at all levels.
Do you have….?
- Experience of document control processes and techniques?
- Experience of database management and manipulation?
- Excellent planning and organisational skills?
- IT literacy and competency in programmes such as MS Office and Excel?
