🌟 Be the Change. Protect the Vulnerable. Drive Real Impact.
Join Brent Council as a Domestic Abuse Act Support Officer and help shape a safer Brent for everyone.
Brent is a tremendously vibrant London borough where the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium dominates the skyline. Spanning both inner and outer London, it is a borough of huge contrasts in terms of its economic, environmental, ethnic and social make up. Brent’s diversity is evident to all who visit our borough and our long history of ethnic and cultural diversity has created a place that is truly unique and valued by those who live and work here.
We’re undergoing an ambitious transformation to better serve our residents—and we’re looking for changemakers to join us. If you’re passionate about making a real difference in the lives of those affected by domestic abuse, this is your moment.
The Role – Domestic Abuse Act Support Officer
The Domestic Abuse Act has transformed how local authorities and partnerships respond to domestic abuse—raising awareness, strengthening protections for survivors, pursuing perpetrators, and improving support services.
As Domestic Abuse Act Support Officer, you’ll be central to embedding these changes across Brent. This is not a victim-facing role; instead, you’ll focus on ensuring the council’s compliance with the Act, supporting system improvements, and coordinating partnership efforts to deliver a consistent and effective response.
You’ll work closely with councillors, local partners, and statutory agencies to develop and maintain key relationships, improve community safety, and help shape the future of Brent’s response to domestic abuse and violence against women and girls.
