We have an exciting opportunity in the Domestic Services Department within East Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to fulfil the role of Domestic Services Auditor.
The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out cleanliness audits of healthcare premises to the standard laid down in the National Standards for Cleanliness in Wales 2003, and the Health Boards Cleaning Responsibility Framework (CRF). This will include wards, clinical areas, departments, offices, community sites and public areas. Previous experience of working within the cleaning industry will be essential; however, the successful candidate will receive on the job training and supervision. Uniform/protective clothing will also be provided
We are offering a permanent contract as follows;
Full time post (37.5 hours a week) Working 5 days per week (Monday to Friday - Hours to vary between 7am and 5pm)

Main duties of the job
Conduct audits of areas within healthcare premises in respect of cleanliness. This will be a shared activity working with any / all of the following: ward / department staff, estates operational staff, infection prevention staff, community health council representatives (CHC)
Audit against prescribed standards which will not be open to interpretation by the post holder
Use an electronic device and / or paper based system to record findings
Be responsible for up loading & downloading reports onto an electronic system, distributing reports and producing action plans as necessary
Review action plans and bring to the attention of the supervisor any areas that need immediate action
Work to a pre set audit plan however approach must be flexible enough to change work routines to fit in with the ward / department needs.
Work within Health Board policy, departmental procedures and departmental SOPs
Be responsible for the security and safe use of electronic equipment e.g. Tablet, i pad
Assist with the training of new starters as necessary
Be responsible for completion of own timesheets etc
Communicate with Domestic Supervisors, patients, visitors, ward and departmental staff in order to achieve the specified standard of cleanlines
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
