At Change Grow Live, we support people to change the direction of their lives, grow as individuals, and live life to its full potential. As a Duty Support Volunteer, you’ll be a key part of our team—helping us respond to daily challenges, supporting service users, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
This is a dynamic and varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll gain valuable experience, receive one-to-one supervision, and access a wide range of training opportunities to support your personal and professional development.

As a Duty Support Volunteer, you’ll be a key part of our team—helping us respond to daily challenges, supporting service users, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
This is a dynamic and varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll gain valuable experience, receive one-to-one supervision, and access a wide range of training opportunities to support your personal and professional development.
What You’ll Do
- Be the first point of contact for queries and help resolve them with the team.
- Conduct urine and drug screenings.
- Support the needle exchange and provide harm reduction advice.
- Distribute Naloxone and complete BBV testing.
- Use our case management system to record tasks.
- Relay messages, make calls, and issue prescriptions (once trained).
- Work with reception and support unplanned service user visits.
- Signpost individuals to partner services.
- Join staff on outreach appointments.
- Always work within your competencies.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Good IT literacy and time management.
- Ability to work independently and within professional boundaries.
- Respect for confidentiality.
- Comfortable working with a range of professionals and agencies.
- Real-world experience in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
- Opportunities to shadow experienced staff and build new skills.
