The Early Careers team sits within People Function and is responsible for the recruitment and development of school leavers, undergraduates and graduates onto St James’s Place Early Careers programmes. This role reports to the Head of Early Careers Programmes.
This role is pivotal to the attraction and selection of talent onto the SJP Early Career Programmes. The SJP programmes are well respected in the EC market and this role is to attract a diverse and engaged audience to our business to build a talent pool of candidates. Following attraction this role will proactively manage the end to recruitment and onboarding of all EC programmes providing an outstanding experience for candidates and hiring managers.
What you'll be doing:
- Raise awareness of the SJP EC programmes to the market to attract a high quality and diverse pipeline of candidates.
- Selection of appropriate attraction channels based on performance and external data (covers job boards, schools, universities and vendors)
- Design & manage attraction campaigns through relationships with universities, schools, and 6th forms to create a pipeline of talent into EC programmes meeting I & D targets.
- Manage EC alumni network & engage with them on supporting attraction.
- Create and maintain content on digital channels to include website, SharePoint, VR content, social media, presentations.
- Lead and manage the end-of-end recruitment campaigns for programmes, responsible for creation of job adverts, management of recruitment process against each programme timeline.
- Build application forms and application processes on CS (ATS)
- Review and maintenance of all selection tools and decisions in a high-volume process (bespoking where appropriate for some business lines). This includes review of online assessment scores and cut offs and review of video interviews in a timely manner.
- Management of AC for all programmes. This includes system set up for AC portal(Topscore), candidate management and assessor management and facilitation of offer decisions.
- Candidate management from start to finish (including post offer stage and onboarding), focus on delivering an exceptional candidate experience to every applicant at every stage of the process irrelevant of outcome and providing feedback where required.
- Proactively build relationships and manage all stakeholders involved in the recruitment process (Internal and external stakeholders, i.e., hiring managers, candidates, and third-party involvement)
- Upskill of line managers recruiting onto an EC programme, following best practice recruitment and non-bias training.
Essential Criteria
- Experience of running recruitment pipelines (attraction and selection)
- Knowledge and experience of using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
- Experience in business partnering either through HR or Recruitment
- Understanding of the EC attraction market and have experience of working with universities/colleges/schools to promote opportunities.
- Deep knowledge in end-to-end recruitment of early careers population
- In-depth knowledge of each step of EC recruitment from advert to offer stage
- In-depth knowledge of assessment tools to assess skills across multiple business functions e.g., technical skills
- Confident and highly experienced in dealing with decline and feedback calls
- Solid knowledge of applicant tracking system
- Confident in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Desire to work hard to promote our programmes through a strong EVP that stand out to the audience
Desirable Criteria
- Strong experience in hosting and running Assessment Centres
Special Requirements:
- Travel will be required occasionally across the UK including some overnight stays. Whilst this is a hybrid role, you will be required in the office to run assessment centres in person when required (this could be up to 3-4 times per week in peak season).
