The International eCommerce team is recruiting an eCommerce Product Trading Lead to be at the forefront of our global growth! The International eCommerce Trading team fuels global growth by managing and optimising online product sales across 72 international markets. They drive exciting product launches, strategic promotions, and collaborate with leading third-party platforms to maximise sales and brand visibility worldwide.
About the role:
As the eCommerce Product Trading Lead, you will take full ownership of driving traffic and conversion from product detail pages (PDP) through to checkout. You’ll be the go-to for managing online product exclusions, spotting what’s missing and working with the right teams to get items back on site. You’ll also play a key role in expanding into new product categories, always with an eye on boosting sales and profit. You’ll use data to steer your decisions, striking the right balance between commercial results and an exceptional customer experience. From optimising marketing traffic and sharpening up product content to enhancing UX and removing friction in the path to purchase, you’ll lead projects that make a real difference. What else is involved?
Own and optimise the PDP funnel
- Accountable for driving traffic quality and conversion from PDP through to checkout.
- Own analysis of traffic coming to PDPs from marketing; identify and act on opportunities (e.g. low converting, low profit PDPs with high spend vs. high converting PDPs with low traffic).
- Own which items are included in marketing feeds, based on conversion, sales & profit.
Product expertise
- Lead product teams in training and development of product content.
- Optimise product presentation: imagery, item titles, colour names, groupings, reviews, descriptions, banners, recommendations & overall PDP UX, regardless of traffic source (organic, paid, email etc).
Exclusions & new product opportunities
- Identify and work with teams to increase items online
- Drive new product category expansion (e.g. Home), pushing for improvements in sales & profit.
Continuous improvement
- Regularly review competitor sites, funnel metrics and user behaviour.
- Conduct market research and UX testing to identify new opportunities.
- Review test data to determine success and share insights with senior stakeholders.
Projects
- Support with writing requirements and driving cross-functional projects across PDP, favourites, shopping bag, registration and checkout.
Commercial
- Challenge the status quo, test new approaches, and drive improvements in net sales and profit.

About you:
- Analytical and highly comfortable working with large data sets to drive decision making.
- Organised, thorough and motivated by challenges; thrives in a busy, fast-paced retail environment.
- Strong commercial awareness, always looking for ways to improve sales & profit.
- Great at prioritising workload to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and able to influence and work effectively with teams at all levels.
- Confident leading cross-functional teams and training others.
- Experience in e-commerce, online trading, merchandising or digital marketing preferred.
