As an Editor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our technical publications and digital content. You’ll work closely with authors and stakeholders to edit, typeset, and manage a range of established products and services, ensuring they meet the highest standards of clarity, accuracy, and brand alignment.
This role contributes directly to our mission by delivering high-quality, information-rich content that supports professionals and enhances the reputation of our organisation.
• Edit, typeset, and project manage selected products produced in various formats.
• Ensure new content is edited and processed to the highest possible standards.
• Create and update web pages using a content management system.
• Liaise with authors and internal/external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of suitable content and data.
• Guarantee high levels of quality control, ensuring published material aligns with house style and brand guidelines.
• Critically assess outlines and document structures to achieve appropriate outcomes.
• Brief authors and stakeholders effectively and provide editorial advice across the organisation.
• Support continuous improvement of editorial processes and content quality.
This is a hybrid position, requiring flexibility to spend approximately 60% of your time in the office or at events and 40% working remotely.
You’ll be someone who takes pride in precision, enjoys working with complex technical content, and thrives in a collaborative environment. This is a hands-on role where your expertise will ensure our publications meet the highest professional standards.
• Demonstrable experience editing and publishing complex, information-rich technical publications.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with the wider team.
• Experience managing high-profile projects and liaising with authors and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of legal issues in publishing, including copyright and plagiarism.
• High standard of written and spoken English.
• First-class developmental/copyediting and proofreading skills.
• Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Competence with typesetting and design software, including Adobe Suite.
