Role description:

Nomura seeks to recruit an VP level professional to work in the firm’s eFX Electronic Trading team. The role’s responsibilities include:

• Electronic Market Maker for Spot FX, NDF, Forwards and Swaps to the Nomura global client base and all internal Nomura departments.
• Quantitative analytics and development of all aspects of FX market making and FX algorithmic trading
• Work with the eSales team to help service their clients’ needs whilst building lasting relationships and franchise
• Produce steady revenue stream from market knowledge and responsible idea-driven calibration of pricing and hedging models
• Leverage client flow and market events for the benefit of the client base and Nomura.
• Work to the highest moral code and advancing Nomura’s ethics in all areas.

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required

• Bachelors’ Degree in a quantitative or engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in electronic trading in FX Products.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to convey the ideas behind complex research in a clear and precise manner.
• A background in coding with proficiency in Python, Java and relevant quantitative packages (Pandas, scikit-learn, etc).  
• Ability to manipulate and analyze complex, large scale, high-dimensionality data from multiple sources.  Working experience with high-frequency financial time series is preferred.
