About your new role

Our Defender Insurance team provides a full, expert service in defending public (PL), employers' liability (EL), disease and motor claims, across the private sector and the public sector. Weightmans' team is second-to-none in providing litigation defence services in these and other specialist Casualty areas. We operate on a national basis with dedicated commercial insurance, motor, disease, regulatory and public sector teams and as part of our wider specialism we have a dedicated Casualty Fraud team

.We are currently recruiting for a Solicitor 1-3 YRS PQE to join our Glasgow Insurance Team

.Working in the dedicated insurance team based out of Glasgow with your own varied caseload of pre and litigated disease claims, EL/PL claims, and motor/fraud, you will also assist with high value and complex claims

.
We receive direct instructions from both insureds and insurers, as well as local authoritie

s.You will be responsible for the running of the day to day of your cases including liaising with clients, opponents, court, witnesses and undertaking your own liability investigation
