Are you looking for flexible, meaningful work this autumn? Want to get out and about, meet people, and play a vital role in local democracy? We’re looking for enthusiastic
Canvassers to support the Electoral Registration Officer in compiling the
Register of Electors for Cambridge.

Friday 12 September to Sunday 26 October 2025
🔍 What You’ll Be Doing
As a canvasser, you’ll be the friendly face of electoral registration—visiting households in your assigned area to follow up with residents who haven’t responded to previous requests. You’ll:
- Make door-to-door enquiries
- Record responses using a tablet
- Encourage people to register online and ensure their details are up to date
You’ll be working independently, but with full support and training from our team.

✅ Who We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Are 18 or over and eligible to work in the UK
- Are physically fit and happy to be out and about
- Have good communication, IT, literacy, and numeracy skills
- Can work independently and manage your own time
- Can commit to at least 10 hours per week until your allocated area is completed
💷 Pay & Perks
- £12.60 per hour for door-to-door work
- £20 for attending compulsory training
- £30 flat fee for any admin tasks – e.g. recording time worked and planning
- Flexible hours to fit around your schedule
