Semco Maritime are looking for an Electrical Controls and Instrumentation Technician based on and offshore for the Service Wind department.
Job Description/Duties:
- Responsible for ensuring availability and reliability of installation systems including LV, Fire Alarm Systems and HVAC controls.
- Participate as a member of the service wind team in delivering performance against targets.
- Responsible for completing verification assurance and maintenance routines and maintain quality records.
- Ensure the asset is maintained and serviced in accordance with the service manuals and industry best practice.
- Ensure that the underlying causes of failures are understood, and that action is taken to avoid repeat failures.
- Bring defects in practices, equipment, tools, to the attention of relevant staff.
- Liaise with projects, vendors and OEMs to maintain maintenance plans and documentation.
- Maintain accurate and appropriate maintenance records and ensure that the data is entered into the information management systems.
- Is conversant with the isolation procedures of all systems and equipment.
Experience/Skills Required:
- Experience in a similar Electrical role
- Formalised qualification in an electrical discipline, supported by further training.
- Electricity at Work Regs, CompEX.
- Experience in the use of “Safe Systems of Work” (PTW) including their procedures.
- Prior experience of the following electrical equipment/systems:
- Generator units, control equipment and protection devices.
- Fire alarm systems control unit (HMI) cables and protection devices.
- Heating Ventilation and Cooling systems control unit (HMI) cables and protection devices.
- Testing and fault finding on LV and control circuits.
- Modify the settings of protection equipment for authorised changes in design.
- The ability to read single line schematic drawings, LV Distribution Systems, Switchboard Schematics, Generator Schematics, Circuit Diagrams
