Job Title: Electrical Deign Director

Salary: £75,000 - £95,000 DOE

Location: Kent, UK

Job Type: Permanent

I’m currently supporting a specialist building services consultancy and they are looking to appoint a proactive Electrical Design Director to lead the electrical design function across a range of building services projects. This role offers the opportunity to manage complex projects from concept through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Take responsibility for technical quality, design standards, and compliance.
Provide senior input across project delivery, from concept design through to completion.
Manage, mentor and develop senior engineers and design teams.
Act as a key technical point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
Support business development, bids, and project resourcing.
Work closely with other discipline leads to deliver fully coordinated MEP solutions.

Experience and Qualifications Required:

A Chartered Electrical Engineer (CEng – IET or equivalent).

Ideally from a building services / MEP consultancy background.

Experienced in leading electrical design on complex projects.

Comfortable operating at senior/strategic level while remaining technically hands-on when required.

Experienced in managing teams and interfacing with clients.
