What you'll be doing
As an Electrician, you’ll play a vital role in delivering temporary electrical installations and site services. You’ll ensure safety, quality, and sustainability are at the heart of everything you do.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion Balfour Beatty’s values and Zero Harm culture.
- Deliver high-quality temporary electrical installations.
- Maintain tools and plant equipment to the highest standards.
- Identify hazards and implement proactive safety measures.
- Support sustainability and environmental initiatives.
- Collaborate with teams to improve systems and processes.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure “Right First Time” delivery.
- Assist with QA using BIM Field 360.
- Review project scope and identify additional work requirements.
- Work in accordance with Electrical Safe Systems of Work (ESSW).
Who we're looking for
We’re seeking a proactive, safety-focused individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for excellence.
Essential Qualities & Experience
- Clear communicator with a strong understanding of safe systems of work.
- Self-motivated and capable of taking ownership of tasks.
- Flexible to work nights, weekends, and unsociable hours.
- ECS Card, SMSTS, and a valid driving licence.
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of H&S legislation and environmental policies.
- Experience in temporary electrical installations and resource allocation.
Desirable Qualities
- Fully qualified Electrician with aspirations to become an Appointed Person (AP).
- Experience in delivering high-standard electrical installations.
- Solution-oriented with strong analytical and prioritisation skills.
- Understanding of construction tolerances and inspection/test plans.
- Experience in monitoring project scope and preventing scope creep.
