Job Introduction
An opportunity is available for an Engineering Specialist based at our depot in Derby.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Engineering Specialist will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of complex schemes on the distribution network and at non-operational sites up to and including 33kV.
The successful candidate is required to have English and Maths GCSE Grade C/Level 4 or above OR Functional Skills Level 2 or above to apply.
You are also required to hold a Level 3 City & Guilds 2339 (or equivalent Electrical Engineering qualification) and if not already attained will be required to undertake HNC Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
Evidence of your qualifications will be required prior to appointment

Operationally we require you to live within approximately 45 minutes of the Derby depot - postcode DE24 8EJ.
A full UK/EU Driving Licence is required for this role as you will need to be mobile throughout the area and may be asked to undertake standby duties.
A flexible outlook is essential as you may be asked to undertake other duties to assist the team in meeting its objectives.
