Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) is one of busiest teaching hospitals in Europe and is nationally recognised as having an established Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) service.
With 200 qualified and trainee ACPs across multiple specialties to date (52 across ED), we are now seeking committed, enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to join our Emergency Medicine team of ACPs to deliver the highest quality care to our patients. NUH offers qualified ACPs supported career pathways across the pillars of ACP.
With strong partnerships with our local universities we are looking for health care professionals to join us as apprentice trainee ACPs. Applicants must be registered with a professional body (NMC, HCPC or equivalent) hold a GCSE in Maths and English (grade A*-C or equivalent). Hold a UK degree minimum 2:2 or degree with statement of comparability at Level 6 or 7 (UK ENIC) if undertaken at a non-UK HEI and be able to undertake the Non-Medical Prescribing course. Successful candidates will commence on the level 7 ACP apprenticeship training pathway at the University of Nottingham .
We would also welcome trainee ACPs who are part-way through their training who are looking to move to NUH to access the established ACP training pathway.

NUH’s Emergency Department is the region’s major trauma centre and one of the busiest emergency departments in Europe seeing over 170,000 patients a year.
Within the emergency department is a nationally recognised and well established ACP service.
The team consists of 52 qualified and trainee ACPs working across both the adult and paediatric emergency departments and we are now looking for extraordinary individuals to join our adult ACP team.
Your clinical development will be well supported by our large ACP team and senior medical workforce and this does not stop once you are qualified.
