We are looking to hire a talented and committed Employee Relations Manager. This role will play a critical part in the execution of the employee relations agenda in the UK.
The central objective of Amazon's Employee Relations team is to ensure our organization’s treatment of employees is fair, respectful, and consistent with our framework of core business values and objectives.
We are seeking a progressive, hands-on, customer-obsessed individual who will help to develop our employee relations agenda of creating a positive employee relations climate that supports employee safety, capability, engagement and a high performance, customer-obsessed culture.
Key job responsibilities
- Support Regional Directors and Site Leads: Collaborate with Regional Directors, Site Leads, General Managers (GMs), and PXT Managers in the UK CF network to identify key ER risks and to analyze quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources including employee feedback mechanisms.
- Risk Mitigation: Develop and propose mitigation actions for identified risks at site or regional levels.
- Enhance Employee Engagement: Support the delivery of initiatives designed to enhance employee engagement.
- Labour and Industrial Relations: Proactively assist Operations and PXT teams with collective labour activities and industrial relations issues E2E.
- Stakeholder Guidance: Guide stakeholders and deliver collective consultation and communication as required for the ongoing evolution of the business, ensuring compliance with labour laws and company policies.
- Training: Deliver and evaluate training programs to build up employee relations capability for operations.
- Associate Forum Strategy: Manage the Associate Forum strategy within the region of responsibility.
- ER Gembas and Site Visits: Organize ER Gembas, site visits, and employee focus groups to monitor employee sentiment on key topics such as employee experience, manager-employee relations, compensation and benefits, recognition, communication, and engagement.
- Project Management: Take ownership of or contribute to key ER projects.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in employee relations, human resources, or a related field.
- Knowledge of labour laws and company policies.
- Experience in developing and delivering training programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate employee relations risks.
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills; public speaking and consultation skills.
- Proven problem solving and analytical skills in an ambiguous environment.
- Proven attention to detail; extremely organized.
