At the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), we're actively shaping the future of energy by supporting the construction of Sizewell C, a transformative 3.2-gigawatt power station that will supply low-carbon electricity to around 6 million homes.
We are seeking an
Employee Relations Partner to support the CWA Human Resource team by managing a high volume of employee relations cases and contributing to key organisational projects.
You will provide leaders with clear, practical advice ensuring compliance with policies and employment laws. This role emphasizes early intervention, using mediation and coaching to resolve issues collaboratively and prevent escalation, fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach and support business area teams to effectively manage employee relations matter effectively.
- Ensure the highest standards of governance, compliance and control are applied to all matters to drive a culture of trust throughout the business area.
- Support a large caseload of 15-50 cases concurrently, covering various aspects of ER including performance, sickness absence, disciplinary, grievance, redundancies and SOSR cases.
- Support change projects as lead by the People Director/Strategic People Lead or Legal Counsel.
- Work closely and collaboratively with Legal Counsel and the Strategic People Leads as key stakeholders to ensure the business remains compliant with legislation and other legal developments, following an early engagement operating model.
- Analyse data, documents, and evidence to evaluate the merits of each case and determine appropriate actions or recommendations.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate or equivalent, with a minimum of CIPD Level 5 qualification.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices, with practical application experience.
- Proven experience delivering HR services in a challenging, geographically dispersed environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data for informed decision-making.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information effectively.
