We are looking for an experienced and proactive Employee Relations Specialist to work within small dynamic teams providing quality HR advice and support across our academic divisions and professional services for 12 months.

About the role
You will be responsible for a wide range of HR matters, with a strong focus on employee relations and the management of complex casework. Delivering pragmatic solutions and supporting departmental managers through the University procedures and employment legislation are key requirements. You will add value by contributing to training and briefing sessions on a broad range of HR matters.
About You
• You will be a confident and capable HR professional, with a pro-active approach and proven experience of providing quality HR advice and support.
• You will need to demonstrate experience of managing complex cases to successful outcomes, and a flair for employee relations and problem solving.
• You will also be adept at developing strong working relationships across all levels of seniority and be able to demonstrate sound judgement underpinned by your knowledge of employment law and good practice.
• Having experience of a wide range of organisational environments will be beneficial, as will familiarity of working in a unionized environment.
• A recognised HR qualification would also be beneficial.
This is a full time position though part time will be considered at 80% FTE. Please specify in your application if you want full or part-time.
