We have an exciting opportunity for an Employee Relations Advisor to join a highly engaged HR Shared Services team. This role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to make a real impact on how ER matters are managed across a large, multi-site organization.

What you’ll do:

• Provide professional, impartial Employee Relations advice to managers and senior leaders via telephone.
• Partner with stakeholders to coach and guide them toward the best possible outcomes for ER issues.
• Manage end-to-end casework for disciplinaries, grievances, appeals, and long-term sickness.
• Attend hearings for complex cases when required, offering face-to-face support.
• Ensure all advice is legally compliant, commercially sound, and aligned with company policies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the ER function.
• Participate in occasional weekend and bank holiday emergency phone cover (with additional allowance).

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience in HR or ER advisory roles, managing cases such as disciplinaries, grievances, and sickness.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge respectfully at all levels.
• Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and data protection principles.
• Ability to handle complex situations and work under pressure.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent organizational skills.
• Driving license and access to transport.

Working pattern:

• Full-time (37.5 or 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday). Higher end of the salary band only available for 40 hours per week.
• Office-based in Northampton during training, then hybrid (2–3 days in office per week).
