About the Role

NCHA are looking to hire an Employers Agent / Quantity Surveyor to work within our internal Pelham Architects consultancy team. We would like to hear from you if you have extensive knowledge of new build housing construction in the UK, preferably in an Employers Agent / QS / Project or Construction Management role. Any experience in the delivery of social housing would also be of interest.

This is a client-side role where you’ll help deliver new build housing and major refurbishment projects, ensuring quality, compliance, and value for money. You’ll work with contractors, consultants, external and internal clients to deliver multiple projects to create homes that meet the needs of our communities.

We would like to hear from you if you have experience in wider construction management, such as being a contracts and project manager, or if you have extensive knowledge of new build housing construction in the UK.

What You’ll Be Doing

✔️ Administer JCT Design & Build contracts

✔️ Chair project meetings and manage stakeholder relationships

✔️ Certify payments and commission consultants

✔️ Advise on budgets, procurement, and compliance

✔️ Ensure CDM and Building Control regulations are met

✔️ Monitor contract performance and KPIs

✔️ Manage defect resolution and handovers

What We’re Looking For

✅ Experience in social housing construction

✅ HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field

✅ Strong knowledge of CDM, Building Control, and housing standards

✅ Excellent communication and project management skills

✅ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document sharing platforms

✅ Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
