Employment Lawyer

We are recruiting for a Senior/Managing Associate to join our Employment team in Bristol, Birmingham or Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to join a Chambers UK & Legal 500 ranked team at a senior level and work with “Leading Individuals”, as named in the Legal 500. We offer flexible and hybrid working and can accommodate both full and part-time hours.

Your Role

As a key addition to the team, day to day you can expect to be involved with high quality, varied work including:

• Leading on complex Employment Tribunal claims (almost exclusively acting for Respondents)
• Advising employers on matters such as disciplinaries, grievances, restructuring and redundancies
• Providing employment law support in TUPE matters, corporate deals and outsourcing contracts
• Enforcement of post termination restrictive covenants
• Drafting of contracts of employment, consultancy agreements, settlement agreements and other employment related documentation
• Collaborating with Partners and other senior team members on business development strategies
• Supervising and supporting junior members of the team, assisting growth and development of the team

Your Skills & Experience

We are looking for:

• A Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered) with at least 5 years PQE in employment law
• A forward thinker, with proven analytical, communication and organisational skills, you will be self-motivated with the ability to manage workloads and deadlines
• Client focussed approach with the ability to nurture long standing relationships
• Commitment to working in a supportive, team-based environment
• Proven experience of supervising and/or managing junior team members
• The drive and ambition to succeed as a key senior component of the team at TLT, with the commitment to developing the firm’s offering locally and nationally
