Salary Range: £40,000–£60,000 + Car Allowance (DoE) + Bonus + Pension

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Energy Infrastructure Engineer with an interest in Grid Connection particularly offshore transmission and/or HVDC projects. You will join our collaborative and multidisciplinary Substation Engineering Team, which includes specialists in primary and secondary electrical design, protection and control, and digital modelling (CAD/BIM).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to grid connection projects, including offshore transmission, HVDC interconnector, and onshore battery/wind
• Develop technical reports, due diligence, and connection agreements
• Produce and review 3D models and drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit
• Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to deliver integrated and efficient design solutions
• Support the development of more junior engineers and technicians within the team
• Attend site visits and client meetings in the UK or occasionally in Europe
• Engage with clients and suppliers to resolve technical queries and ensure quality delivery

• A qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering (degree, HND, or equivalent experience)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
