Position: Energy Procurement Specialist

Location: Sandhurst, Berkshire – some home working

Salary: £28-35k depending on experience

Job Purpose:

Working in a fast-paced contract negotiation team, you will be responsible for the preparation, tendering, and negotiation of energy contract renewals and for ensuring the efficient and accurate delivery of ongoing contract management to Carbonxgen’s clients. The role will contribute to the retention and growth of our clients and services through the delivery of excellent customer experiences.

Job Responsibilities

• Produce tenders and issue them to suppliers within appropriate deadlines
• Initiate price and contract term negotiations with suppliers
• Ensure contract recommendations are accurate and sent out in a timely manner
• Enter manual and electronic offers accurately, to create like-for-like cost analysis
• Working closely with other teams and supporting the wider business with knowledge of energy contracting and pricing
• Issuing recommendations to clients via e-mail and following-up via telephone
• Develop networks and relationships with energy supplier contacts
• Ongoing contract management and resolution of client queries

Required Skills

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop telephone-based relationships
• Polite and assertive telephone manner
• Numerate with good problem-solving skills
• Strong excel skills
• Industry experience preferable
