We are looking for an Engineer to join our Buildings team in Cambridge. You will effectively and professionally plan, manage, coordinate and monitor the Engineering aspects of sub-contract packages associated with the construction works including demolition, reinforced concrete, excavation, drainage and structural steelwork to assist with the successful delivery of a commercial mixed use development in Cambridge.
What you'll do:
- Manage the site engineering activities in accordance with Skanska’s Environmental, Health, Safety and quality procedures and to assist the senior engineer in ensuring project compliance.
- Ensure all project specifications, quality requirements and industry good practices are adhered to
- Carrying out all project specific Quality Assurance related inspections and checks
- Management of all temporary works activities e.g. ensuring design compliance, RAMS, installation, inspections, loading and unloading
- Ensure main dimensional control is established and maintained
- Carrying out and reviewing as-built surveys
- Reviewing & approving structural ITP’s
What you'll bring to the role:
- BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- Demonstrable experience working on similar scale and complex projects within the commercial building sector (minimum £100m +)
- Proven track record in a complex engineer role
- Strong commercial experience
