About the Role

To work as part of a team delivering the Council’s Capital Programme of Flood Alleviation Schemes and fulfilling Local Authority duties under the Flood Risk Management (Scotland) Act 2009.

Responsibilities

Deliver the Council’s Capital Programme of Flood Alleviation Schemes.
Fulfill Local Authority duties under the Flood Risk Management (Scotland) Act 2009.

Qualifications

Engineer - Professional qualification at IEng (or CIWEM equivalent) or equivalent experience and working towards CEng.
Senior Engineer - Professional qualification at CEng or CIWEM equivalent.

Required Skills

Starting Salary 1. Engineer - Professional qualification at IEng (or CIWEM equivalent) or equivalent experience and working towards CEng.
Starting Salary 2. Senior Engineer – Professional qualification at CEng or CIWEM equivalent.
Demonstrable experience in Flood Risk Assessment, Development Control and the development of Flood Alleviation Schemes
Full UK driving licence.

Pay range and compensation package

Starting salary 1. Engineer - £40,021 HC08 SCP34

Starting salary 2. Senior Engineer - £49,759 HC10 SCP42
