Vortec Marine Ltd, founded in 2006 by Managing Director Ross Collingwood. Based in Gosport, Vortec Marine provides comprehensive yacht refit, repair, maintenance, and management services, with a dedicated service centre equipped to handle yachts up to 40 meters.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Gosport for an Engineer/Technician. The Engineer/Technician will be responsible for performing daily yacht refit, repair, and maintenance tasks, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards. Responsibilities will include diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues, performing routine inspections and maintenance, and working closely with the management team to ensure all work is documented and recorded accurately.

Qualifications

• Proficient in yacht refit, repair, and maintenance techniques
• Mechanical Marine engineering skills
• Marine electrical a bonus
• Skilled in diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues
• Ability to perform routine inspections and maintenance
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Experience with marine systems and equipment
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in marine engineering or a related field
• Experience with online maintenance record-keeping systems is a plus
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
