About The Role
As an Engineering Apprentice, you’ll undertake a structured training programme combining academic study with practical, on-the-job experience. Under the guidance of an experienced Mentor, you’ll gain the skills and knowledge needed to support our engineering department and grow into a future leader in maintenance.

About The Role
As an Engineering Apprentice, you’ll undertake a structured training programme combining academic study with practical, on-the-job experience. Key Responsibilities
- Carry out basic repairs and maintenance on mechanical equipment such as pumps, valves, and pipes
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks
- Complete checklists and maintenance records
- Learn and assist with more complex mechanical tasks
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Use hand and power tools (e.g., wrenches, drills, grinders) and test equipment
- Understand engineering science and technology principles
- Prioritise safety and identify workplace hazards
- Use basic computer software (Word, Excel)
- Read and interpret engineering and technical drawings
What We’re Looking For
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4 or above) or A Levels
- Basic computer literacy )
- Interest in manufacturing and maintenance
- Exposure to mechanical or engineering environments
- Year 1: 2 days per week at Cambridge Regional College, 3 days per week on-site in Huntingdon
- Years 2 & 3: 1 day per week at college, 4 days per week on-site
