Role Mission
We are looking to augment our technology team as part of our increase growth, with an Engineering Leader who will take technical ownership for one of our complex mid market products.
This product delivers regulatory intelligence to a broad customer base and is a key part of the CUBE expansion strategy that will continue to deliver high growth in this exciting space.
As the key technology owner for the product you will build and lead a team of developers that takes ownership of the technology and delivers ongoing enhancements ensuring a high quality solution that delights our customers using CUBEs unique AI driven regulatory data and insights.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, team leadership, and agile delivery plus will also be comfortable taking design and architectural ownership for the solution. CUBE is a data driven business so a high degree of familiarity with data design and management are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Head of Consumer Engineering to set departmental objectives, prioritize, track progress and maintain alignment with broader product and technology strategy.
- Supervise the planning, resourcing and execution of key Engineering initiatives.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and represent Engineering on major product and customer initiatives and deliverables.
- Identify opportunities to improve the SDLC process, including oversight of
- Agile practices
- Metrics and reporting
- DevOps practices
- Release management (working with Test and Release team)
- Enhance existing coding standards and ensure they are enforced through quality reviews, training and support.
- Drive improvement across practices (code reviews etc) and tooling to improve quality and developer efficiency.
- Provide leadership and mentoring support to Team Leads.
- Stay up to date with industry best practice across relevant technology, practices and tooling, and advocate for adoption where there is a valid business case.
Qualifications And Experience
- Management of software engineering teams.
- Management of engineering delivery projects.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a software engineer with
- a strong focus on C#. and .NET CORE.
- Preferably full stack (i.e. front end technologies such as Angular,
- Database technologies such as SQL, Elastic and or document storage). Desirable: Familiarity with event-based systems.
- Strong experience with cloud environments – Azure preferable, others desirable.
- Excellent project management skills and experience with Agile methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
