THE ROLE.
This role is an exciting opportunity to lead several agile teams within the Nuke product team.
As Engineering Manager for Nuke, you will closely collaborate with Lead Engineers and Product Managers to define release schedule and scope, manage interdependencies, and deliver software that meets business requirements, while keeping the business aware of the progress by defining, tracking and delegating appropriate KPIs.
Working with the Lead Engineers and their teams, you will help define and implement a strategy for onboarding, upskilling and knowledge sharing and dissemination across the Nuke team, helping us to develop the next generation of technical experts.
You will be responsible for go/no-go decisions on internal team process, resource allocation and deployment, while advising and influencing the Director of Nuke Engineering on decisions that may impact the wider team, business and deliverables, such as technical concerns and changes of direction.
As part of your product-wide responsibilities, you will contribute with the Director of Product and other Nuke leaders on defining the long-term roadmap and technical strategy for the product. By collaborating with leaders across Timeline and Compositing Engineering teams and Nuke’s Architecture team, you will have a detailed technical overview of all current projects, and will help to provide guidance, identify and mitigate risk, and identify opportunities for innovation and collaboration.
With other Nuke leaders, you will be liaising with clients, helping to present our product vision and progress on our roadmap, as well as supporting them with issues that they are experiencing now, and requirements for future updates. You will also help to drive collaboration with hardware and software partners, facilitating mutually beneficial projects.
As an Engineering Manager at Foundry, you will bring your engineering expertise, technological problem-solving ability and team leadership skills to develop others and drive performance at pace.
You will be responsible for maintaining a highly motivated and performing team by constantly identifying and adapting the most appropriate working practices, championing the company’s values and supporting personal development for team members.
You will collaborate with other Engineering Managers and leaders at Foundry to drive company-wide initiatives aligned with Foundry’s vision and objectives.
