Michael Page is partnering with a leading global FMCG manufacturing business to recruit an Engineering Manager for its Leeds facility. This organisation employs over 3,000 colleagues worldwide and supplies products to more than 40 countries across the EMEA region from its Leeds site.

Description

Reporting directly to the Director of Manufacturing, the Engineering Manager will play a key role in the site leadership team. You'll be responsible for the entire engineering function, ensuring assets are maintained to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency, delivering optimal output at the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, manage, and develop a team of around 10 engineers in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement across all site assets.
Drive reliability initiatives, including root cause analysis (RCA) and delivery of actions to meet key maintenance KPIs.
Develop team capability through training, development, and addressing skill gaps.
Ensure compliance with Quality and Health & Safety standards at all times.

Profile

A successful Engineering Manager should a range of the following:

Strong knowledge and experience in the FMCG sector (print or continuous process experience advantageous).
Strong leadership background with proven ability to lead and manage engineering teams effectively.
Solid technical knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
Excellent understanding of Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and organisational skills.

Job Offer

Competitive salary ranging from £65,000 to £70,000.
