Miryco Consultants are working with a fast-growing firm in the RegTech space to hire an energetic Engineering Manager to lead and inspire their software engineering team. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the direction of a market-disrupting product, focused on transaction reporting and regulatory compliance.
In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee product delivery, drive engineering excellence, and foster a high-performance culture. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are robust, innovative, and aligned with both business and regulatory needs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of engineers through coaching, feedback, and career development.
- Foster a collaborative and accountable engineering culture focused on quality and continuous improvement.
- Oversee planning and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring on-time and high-quality outputs.
- Manage sprint cycles, remove delivery bottlenecks, and support agile ways of working.
- Work closely with product managers to translate business needs into technical plans.
- Collaborate with regulatory specialists to ensure compliance and reporting standards are met.
- Contribute to technical decision-making, architecture discussions, and code reviews as needed.
- Champion modern software engineering practices across the team.
- Act as a bridge between engineering, product, regulatory, and commercial teams.
- Communicate progress, blockers, and opportunities clearly to stakeholders across the business.
Experience Required:
- Proven track record of managing and scaling engineering teams in fast-paced or dynamic environments.
- Strong technical background with the ability to engage in architectural and technical discussions.
- Experience delivering complex software products, ideally in a SaaS or B2B context.
- Deep understanding of Agile delivery, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code reviews.
- Experience working cross-functionally with product and compliance teams to deliver robust solutions.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage shifting priorities.
- Passion for mentoring and supporting engineers in their career development.
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (4 days per week in office)
