Hold post registration qualification/CPD as a minimum for area of practice. If this is to a be a trainee post, the recommendation is that the Enhanced Clinical Practitioner Apprenticeship is followed at level 6. Utilise clinical skills within an interdepartmental and / or multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients within neurosurgery receive holistic, timely and high-quality clinical care. Exercise expanding autonomous clinical practice, high levels of judgement, discretion and decision making in clinical care, in accordance with their scope of practice, under supervision from the Matron and Clinical Supervisors where scope is being expanded.

Draw on the four pillars of practice to lead and influence improvements to standards of care. Develop a culture of organisational learning to inspire future and existing staff. Support on the improvement of clinical care though clinical governance, audit, quality improvement and research in collaboration with clinical and academic colleagues. Demonstrate compassionate leadership in daily working, supporting other Enhanced Practitioner in your areas of work.
