Overview

We’re seeking a seasoned Enterprise Architect with deep expertise in cyber security architecture to define and lead the strategic direction of our organisation’s security landscape. This newly created role sits within the Enterprise Architecture function and plays a pivotal role in shaping and delivering a ‘secure by design’ approach across all systems and transformation initiatives.

This is a unique opportunity to influence the security posture of a dynamic and forward-thinking enterprise, while working collaboratively with senior stakeholders across technology and business functions.

Key Responsibilities

As the Enterprise Security Architect, you will:

• Define and maintain enterprise-wide security architecture, roadmaps, principles, and standards aligned to business and technology strategies.
• Partner with Cyber Security and Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure security is embedded into all change initiatives.
• Support secure transformation through architectural assurance, guiding solution and technical architects with best-practice guardrails and governance.
• Perform security impact assessments on new initiatives and help define secure application, infrastructure, and integration patterns.
• Develop and maintain reusable architectural artefacts including landscapes, models, glossaries, taxonomies, and decision logs.
• Advise on risk mitigation strategies and evaluate emerging security technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
• Actively contribute to project governance and architecture review boards.
• Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and operational teams on system designs including CRM, Finance, HR, and analytics platforms.
• Foster continuous improvement through measurable KPIs and secure design principles.

Essential Skills & Experience

We’re looking for a security-minded technology leader who brings:

• Significant experience in enterprise architecture roles with a strong focus on security architecture and governance.
• Demonstrable track record developing cyber security strategy, architecture and roadmaps in complex or regulated environments.
• Experience leading the transition from legacy to modern platforms, including the adoption of cloud-native, microservice-based, and API-driven architectures.
• Working knowledge of architectural frameworks (e.g. TOGAF), modelling languages (e.g. UML, ArchiMate), and tooling (e.g. Bizzdesign or similar).
• Broad understanding of enterprise IT systems such as CRM, ERP, and data platforms.
• Strong grasp of data security principles, identity and access management, encryption, network security, and secure software delivery practices.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• A pragmatic, collaborative approach to assurance and governance, balancing innovation with risk management.
• Experience mentoring solution and technical architects.
• A strong understanding of current and emerging threats, tools, and practices in the security domain.

Desirable Knowledge

• Experience across both cloud and on-premise environments.
• Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and integration landscapes.
• Experience within a rights management, media, financial services, or data-heavy organisation is a plus.
