Environmental Advisor
Location: This is a hybrid role which will allow you to split your time between home and the
Manchester office
.
We're seeking a dedicated Environmental Advisor to join our Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) team, supporting Siemens UK's commitment to environmental excellence. In this role, you'll work closely with the Environment Manager to ensure compliance with environmental legislation, ISO 14001, product-related environmental protection, and to drive continuous improvement initiatives across Siemens UK businesses.
You'll be experienced in conducting environmental audits and inspections, engage with the EHS community, and coordinate environmental programs across all levels of the organisation. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on our sustainability journey while working with diverse stakeholders to improve environmental performance and maintain our ISO 14001 and ISO 50001standards.
You’ll make a difference by:
- Lead environmental compliance initiatives and improvement programs
- Support with monitoring changes to UK and European environmental legislation
- Update environmental processes and procedures as required
- Support ISO 14001 and 50001 management systems
- Conduct internal and external environmental audits and inspections
- Support producer responsibility compliance
- Provide technical environmental expertise
- Engage with UK regulators and stakeholders
- Contribute to environmental performance improvement
You’re excited to build on your existing expertise, including:
- Degree or equivalent experience in Environmental Science or related field
- Industry experience of conducting internal environmental audits
- Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 standards
- Industry experience in environmental management
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Understanding of environmental legislation and industry knowledge
- A full UK driving license
- Willingness to travel to UK wide sites, with occasional overnight stays.
