Environmental & Energy Manager

Here at ISS, as a premier Facilities Management (FM) provider, we are looking to find an Environmental & Energy Manager to join our major corporate banking account, focusing on the client's Headquarters in Broadgate, London.

This is their flagship UK site, complex and critical, accommodating senior client stakeholder, and is the centrepiece of their Environmental journey.

Here, you will be responsible as UK Environmental Manager in compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 50001. a. Manage UK EMS/EnMS on behalf of client in accordance with client policies and legal compliance

You’ll be working in the In-House Environmental Management team, part of Group Real Estate and Supply Chain, based in London. We run a globally-certified Environmental Management System (EMS) in EMEA that complies with the international standards ISO 14001/50001, helping to reduce our firm’s environmental impact and footprint in all operations.

Actions will include:

• Accurately report on environmental data as defined by client. This will include collecting monthly data on client energy consumption, waste and waste recycling, paper and water consumption and consolidating such information in an auditable format for submission quarterly into environmental reporting system (Enablon) and local management committees. Check that all environmental reporting is undertaken by third parties and Supplier and correct information has been provided.
• Ensure all questionnaires for all sites are completed ahead of contributor deadline per Enablon campaign.
• Support client in the achievement of energy and environmental impact targets. Manage and achieve targets put in place. Produce monthly update reports via Enablon on energy, water, paper and waste consumption to monitor progress with global goals
• Manage the full implementation of audit findings whether they be recommendations, opportunities for improvement and non-conformances. incl. following naming convention as provided by the auditor, thorough closing statement with all the correct evidences attached, and are addressed with the highest priority ahead of scheduled deadline.
• A full thorough review of all legal compliance must be completed ahead of all internal audits, or as soon as the updated legal register has been supplied by 3rd party.
• Monitoring general and hazardous waste produced on site, and ensuring all teams are complying with waste legislation.
• Be aware of all current and any future environmental and other legal requirements and ensure implementation and compliance with these requirements in all aspects of the product and services provided to client.

Your expertise

• Extremely well-organized and detail-oriented; ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Technical expertise in environmental standards and data reporting
• General understanding of renewable energy technologies and industry
• Previous experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 audits is a must
• Member of professional body i.e. IEMA is a plus
