What You’ll Do
As an Equipment Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the design, coordination, and integration of mechanical systems for large-scale nuclear infrastructure projects. You’ll work across all phases of project delivery from concept design and technical reviews to site coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, specify, and review mechanical equipment requirements (e.g., pumps, valves, heat exchangers, tanks, lifting equipment, etc.)
- Oversee the selection, qualification, and integration of mechanical equipment
- Review supplier documentation, including technical specifications, calculations, and test procedures
- Ensure equipment complies with all applicable nuclear standards, codes, and regulatory requirements
- Interface with multidisciplinary design teams, clients, and equipment suppliers
- Support installation, testing, and commissioning phases as required
- Manage technical deviations, non-conformities, and design changes related to equipment
- Manage and resolve technical queries, design modifications, and system interfaces
Who You Are
- Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience working with mechanical equipment on infrastructure or nuclear-related projects
- Strong understanding of equipment qualification processes in regulated environments
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards
- Confident working in regulated environments with strict safety and quality standards
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities
