Estimator

An established Design & Build main contractor with a strong reputation across the South East is looking to appoint an Estimator / Assistant Quantity Surveyor due to a healthy and ongoing project pipeline.

The business delivers a mix of commercial fit out, refurbishment, warehouse and dilapidations projects, typically ranging from £500k to £4m.

This is a hands-on, pre-construction led role within a close-knit commercial team, offering variety, responsibility and long-term stability.

You will be involved in:

• Pricing tenders from initial enquiry through to submission
• Carrying out take-offs from drawings and specifications
• Preparing cost plans, estimates and tender returns
• Issuing and analysing subcontractor enquiries
• Identifying risks, exclusions and value engineering opportunities
• Supporting the handover from estimating into delivery
• Assisting with post-award commercial tasks where required

Projects include commercial offices, fit out, refurbishment, strip out and warehouse works.

This role would suit:

• An Estimator, Assistant Quantity Surveyor, or QS with strong estimating exposure
• Experience working for a main contractor
• Someone comfortable in a hybrid commercial role
• A proactive, commercially aware individual who enjoys working closely with project and management teams
