Possess a proven track record of successfully winning projects and the ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications, along with estimating software.
The candidate will be an excellent communicator & negotiator with strong IT skills, self-motivated, with the ability to work well under pressure and be flexible in approach to tender deadlines.
Requirements
Role and Responsibilities.
- * Take responsibility for the cost creation and quoting of multiple enquiries/projects.
- * Be able to price bills of quantities, and specifications.
- * Demonstrable estimating/bid presentation experience, within a commercial setting.
- * Evaluate the tender information and prepare a tender action plan.
- * Understanding detailed working drawings from architects and designers and produce scopes of work for pricing from technical drawings.
- * Cleary scope with involvement of manager where appropriate subcontractor and material enquiries and issue to agreed list.
- * Go on site visits with clients to prepare scopes of work and gain a detailed understanding of their requirements and needs.
- * Deliver Sub-contractor and supplier packages.
- * Be able to deal with quick turnaround of multiple projects ranging in value from £5k to £5m
- * Preparation of quotes and tender packages.
- * Negotiate valuations and final pricing, ensuring work won is at a profitable margin for the company. Consider alternatives which may produce financial or program advantages.
- * Ensuring all costs are tracked and validated.
- * Responsible for key supplier liaison and external pricing in line with project/costing needs
- * Promotion and development of the company's sales and advertising.
- * Ambitious and driven personality with a hunger for success.
- * Regular travel to client sites
