What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead on estimating for EV charging and solar PV projects, preparing accurate costings and client-ready proposals.
  • Collaborate closely with surveyors, project managers, and our in-house design team to ensure alignment between design and cost.
  • Interpret CAD drawings and ensure estimates meet both technical and regulatory standards.
  • Engage with supply chain partners, securing quotations and exploring value engineering opportunities.
  • Visit sites nationwide to validate survey data and support high-quality bid development.
  • Contribute to leadership decisions, helping refine our estimating processes and shape divisional growth strategies.

Essential

What We’re Looking For

  • Solid track record as an estimator within EV charging infrastructure and solar PV projects.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation and/or City & Guilds 2921.
  • BS 7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations) certification.
  • Strong knowledge of IET Wiring Regulations & EV Charging Code of Practice.
  • Proficient with Excel, CAD, and estimating software.
  • Detail-oriented, commercially astute, and confident juggling multiple projects.
  • Strong communicator who thrives in both independent and collaborative work.

Desirable

  • Civils/utilities experience.
  • Hands-on project management or site delivery background.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Trimble, Bluebeam, or similar.
  • Knowledge of public and commercial procurement processes.
