EU Customs Broker Control Specialist
In this role you will…
- Manage the “Port to Door” activities for shipments being imported into Europe, including the Customs Broker Management tasks.
- Complete mandatory audits relating to Broker Controls and internal processes (for import and export).
- Have oversight of European Customs Import and Export Formalities.
- Schedule & update calendar with completed audit details
- Be responsible for GSK SOP.
- Work with the Multi Market Warehouse, Directors and Operational teams to amend system data.
- Check customs data report against broker import data to ensure no discrepancies.
- Conduct business monitoring of processes related to European Customs.
- Support Indirect Tax and VAT teams with documentary evidence of exports/imports as required.
- Support all activities related to Senior Accounting Officer controls for Customs & Excise duty imports Europe.
- Prepare annual SAO sign off process for Customs & Excise duty European controls.
- Ensure that the region of Europe is aligned with the Broker Management Standard for all European Imports/Exports.
Qualifications & Skills:
- University degree or experience in a Customs, Duty Management, Logistics or Data Management role
- 2 + years relevant experience and knowledge about cross border movement
- Attention to details whilst working with complex data
- Full proficiency in English
- Risk analysis experience
- Experience of import and export processes and/or risk analysis
- Experience with Customs clearance
