We are currently recruiting for an
EU Energy & Utilities Efficiency Manager, who shares our passion for sustainability. This role reports into the EU Environmental & Energy Manager, within the
European Sustainability Team, and will be based in our
London office. The role will involve working closely with our energy partners, EU project managers, Sustainability leaders, Logistics, Store Construction and Maintenance teams, ensuring that energy and utilities efficiency factors are incorporated into all development planning and operational activities to drive continuous improvement.
You will be responsible for promoting best practice in all activities and ensuring compliance with current and emerging energy legislation. You will lead an effective utility consumption monitoring and reporting plan, working closely with the Environmental & Energy Manager to achieve energy efficiencies across our European stores, as well as with internal and external partners to ensure successful outcomes.
What you will be responsible for:
- Managing UK- and EU-related energy procurement for our stores and offices in-line with our renewable energy strategy and targets
- Ensure compliance with EU energy regulations and group reporting requirements
- Develop and Lead water efficiency plan
- Manage energy and water data monitoring and reporting, forecasts and budgets
- Promoting stakeholder awareness and behavioural change of energy and water consumption and reduction.
- Reporting monthly savings against targets and investigating anomalies.
- Managing utility set-up for new stores
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and engage with external partners to drive change
- Occasional travel may be required (mainly within UK/EU)
Skills, Experience and Attributes:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within the energy sector or similar role, including energy purchasing is a requirement
- Excellent data analytical skills with confidence to translate complex energy data into action
- Experience in utility bill analysis and familiarity with energy audits
- Experience in fashion retail is a plus
- Fluency in English is a must and French is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
- Preferred qualifications; Degree in Environmental Management, Energy Management, Sustainability or similar.
