This role is based out of our Sheffield office, working either hybrid or fully remote.

As ASK4’s EU Legal Counsel you will play a critical role in ensuring the ASK4 Group enters into commercially sound and strategically aligned contracts with clients, suppliers, and other key stakeholders. The role will involve providing multilingual legal support across jurisdictions, including negotiating client agreements and structuring commercially appropriate terms. In addition, the EU Legal Counsel will advise on regulatory and compliance matters, with a particular focus on supporting EU telecommunications compliance and reporting obligations.

What you’ll be doing:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts with clients, suppliers, and partners across the UK and Europe.
• Ensure all agreements are commercially robust, risk-appropriate, and aligned with ASK4 Group’s strategic goals.
• Provide legal and commercial advice to internal teams, supporting deal structuring and negotiations to meet business objectives.
• Advise on regulatory matters, including data protection (UK/EU), IP, and telecoms compliance, ensuring adherence to relevant frameworks.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, finance, sales, and operations teams to ensure consistency and legal integrity in contracts.
• Maintain the Group’s contract repository and ensure quality control of key legal records, with support from the Legal Assistant.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments, identifying potential risks and opportunities impacting the business.
• Support the General Counsel in managing external legal advisers, corporate governance tasks, and M&A/integration projects.
• Lead or support legal technology initiatives, including contract automation, e-signature platforms, and ERP migration.
• Help build and maintain a legal playbook and suite of standard templates to enable scalable, compliant growth across jurisdictions.

Our ideal candidate will:

• Be legally qualified in Germany, Spain, France, Italy, or England & Wales (other jurisdictions may be considered).
• Have experience in commercial (B2B) and/or telecoms law, ideally within the telecoms, SaaS, or infrastructure sectors.
• Demonstrate strong technical legal drafting and negotiating skills.
• Be comfortable working across jurisdictions and fluent in English, plus at least one additional European language (Spanish, French, German, or Italian preferred).
• Have experience supporting commercial or sales teams, including structuring deal terms and working with legal playbooks.
• Be able to balance legal risk with commercial and operational priorities in a pragmatic and solutions-oriented manner.
• Be confident working independently while also collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Have experience coordinating with third-party legal advisers and managing outsourced legal support.
• Show an interest or experience in legal technology, including document automation and broader legal operations.
• It is a bonus to have experience working in a private equity or infrastructure capital backed environment.
