As an Event Coordinator, you will play a central role in delivering this mission by planning and facilitating our senior executive programmes and industry events — ensuring we exceed expectations, build lasting relationships, and deliver real value to our customers.

Key responsibilities


  • Manage our network of affiliate tutors and liaise with vendors to meet client needs.
  • Coordinate and facilitate event delivery 
  • Work with delivery partners and suppliers to provide a seamless customer experience.
  • Act as the main point of contact for delegates, coordinating all activity on event days.
  • Monitor budgets, track key metrics, and seek opportunities for continuous improvement.


Location & Travel


This role will be based in the office in Appley Bridge, Wigan with the successful applicant working within the office, remotely or on-site at events in various locations across the UK. 


Key components of the role 


  • Coordinating and facilitating all virtual training programmes and face to face events, acting as an ambassador for InPD at all training courses for both Open and Bespoke Programmes
  • Taking a register of attendees at events, communicating with the clients to ensure smooth running of courses and answering any questions they may have relating to the course or the qualification
  • Issuing joining instructions and feedback forms to attendees and reporting to senior management about the course delivery and/or feedback relating to tutor performance
  • Having a good understanding of Zoom and Microsoft Teams in order to assist tutors on virtual programmes when and if required
  • Ensuring clients are informed of the event status, acting as a key point of contact for the client ensuring that they are informed of the development of their in-house programmes
  • Maintaining local client database, building and maintaining relationships with suppliers along with consulting with customers to determine objectives and requirements for events  
  • Acting as a key point of contact for all the client portfolio you will be requested to manage
  • Budget planning and ensuring all invoices for the programmes are correct
  • Maintaining awareness of current trends in event management and integrating into the operations team in a timely manner
  • Building and maintaining relationships with the tutors, venue, printing and other vendor suppliers required
  • Working closely with tutors and clients to improve the quality of our programmes as well as understanding the students’ qualification journey, maintaining quality assurance records and feedback.


Relevant experience


  • Experience in Event Management or Operations role (1 year minimum) 
  • Experience in the use of CRMs, implementing strategic and operational plans
  • Experience of working within an administrative setting 
  • You will have worked in a fast paced, commercial and target driven environment 
  • Experience of managing and implementing budgets 
  • An undergraduate degree within Events and/or Business would be desirable but not essential
