Event Manager

Event Managers are the face of Taste Film, responsible for hosting our cinematic dining experiences across partner venues. Reporting to the Team Co-ordinator, you will work closely with our Production Managers and venue staff to ensure every event runs seamlessly. We’re looking for people who not only have a genuine love for both film and food, but who are also dynamic, engaging, and passionate about bringing our unique concept to life.

LOCATION: Manchester

PAY: £14ph (+12.07% Holiday Pay) 

DAYS: Weekend availability (Friday - Sunday) with an occasional Monday

HOURS: Variable, Casual Worker Agreement 

• Prepare event spaces (eg set tables, prepare production)
• Introductory and closing speeches for guests at events (~60 people)
• Set up audiovisual equipment
• Prepare and assemble production items (eg props, menus)
• Manage guest bookings on the day
• Sign in guests and seat them 
• Communicate dietary changes and requirements of the guests to the venue
• Manage service timings for each film by following a cue sheet
• Assist restaurant staff with service 
• Calmly deal with issues and complaints on the day
• Assist with pack-down, including taking an inventory of stock

• Passion for food & film
• Strong organisational skills & attention to detail 
• The ability to effectively multitask 
• Excellent communication skills
• Confidence to speak in front of large audiences 
• The capability to set up audiovisual equipment, or the drive to learn
• A positive and proactive attitude
• A calm and systematic approach to problem-solving
• Experience working front of house in hospitality or events (preferred)
