About the Role:
We are looking for an Event Marketing Executive to join CRU’s growing global marketing team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the marketing efforts for CRU’s international events, ensuring they align with our strategic business objectives. You will play a key part in strengthening our brand presence worldwide, driving audience engagement, and creating high-impact marketing campaigns that generate demand. Your work will help connect global audiences, elevate our events, and open doors for broader business opportunities across CRU.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Execute Marketing Plans: Take full ownership of creating and implementing effective marketing strategies within budget to meet or exceed sales revenue targets for a portfolio of global events.
- Manage Multiple Event Campaigns: Oversee the marketing of several events concurrently, adapting to seasonal industry fluctuations while ensuring each event receives the strategic focus and resources required for success.
- Drive Delegate Growth and Revenue: Be directly accountable for increasing attendee numbers and event revenue, including driving special execution (SpEx) improvements for selected events. This includes hands-on management of all related marketing activities.
- Attend and Support Events On-Site: Represent CRU at events through national and international travel, including occasional weekend commitments, to ensure effective on-site marketing execution and brand presence.
- Enhance Brand Positioning and Identity: Lead efforts to strengthen CRU’s brand positioning and market reach, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand identity across all event marketing communications.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field or proven marketing track record.
Skills & Experience:
- Expertise in Event Marketing: Possess strong proficiency in best practices of marketing specifically within the events sector, ensuring innovative and effective strategies.
- Digital Marketing Proficiency: Demonstrable experience with a digital-first approach in developing and implementing marketing strategies, particularly within a B2B or conference context.
- Multicultural Work Experience: Proven ability to operate effectively across diverse cultural environments, understanding and integrating various cultural perspectives in a global setting.
- Strategic Marketing Development: Skilled in crafting detailed marketing strategies and plans, and adept at executing these to achieve tangible outcomes for events
- Competitive Analysis Skills: Knowledgeable in conducting thorough competitor analysis to ensure our marketing efforts are distinct and strategically leveraged through effective use of value propositions.
- Market Mapping Capabilities: Ability to create detailed market maps to aid in understanding market segmentation and refining messaging approaches.
- Comprehensive Campaign Management: Extensive experience managing complex marketing campaigns, utilizing a comprehensive promotional mix and leveraging all available marketing media, with a strong emphasis on digital channels.
- Communication & Collaboration: Exhibits superior communication skills paired with a strong ability to forge collaborative relationships both within the company and externally.
- Matrix Efficiency & Stakeholder Management: Effectively navigates matrix organizations and adeptly handles multiple stakeholder interests and priorities.
