Location: Outer London (Hybrid – 1–2 days in the office per week)

Salary: £250 day rate (dependent on experience)

Contract: Part-time, 3 days per week, Fixed-term until December 2025 (with potential for extension)

Are you a highly organised, creative communicator with a passion for events that bring communities together?

We’re looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Events and Communications Officer to deliver key public health and adult social care events for one of our local government clients.

You’ll play a vital role in helping to plan, promote, and deliver community events that celebrate later life and connect residents with services and support. Working as part of a friendly and supportive team, you’ll shape event content and campaigns, manage logistics and suppliers, and produce engaging digital and printed materials.

This is a part-time role (3 days a week) ideal for someone with a strong background in event management, marketing or communications, who can multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Experienced in events – You know how to deliver professional, engaging events that run smoothly and make a real difference.

What you’ll be doing:

• Support the planning and delivery of key adult social care events
• Help manage event logistics, suppliers and schedules within agreed budgets.
• Draft and coordinate event communications including digital content, email marketing, flyers, and web copy.
• Work closely with stakeholders, including our Council Communications Team and community partners.
• Produce post-event evaluations to assess impact and help shape future programmes.

What you'll bring:

• Experience in event management, marketing, or communications, ideally in a public sector or not-for-profit setting.
• Strong writing and digital content creation skills.
• Knowledge of print production and supplier management.
• Ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders and communities.
• A creative approach and a genuine passion for improving outcomes for residents.
