Job Description

Position: Part-Time Exam Invigilator / Full-Time Test Centre Administrator

Location: Edinburgh and Glasgow

Contract Type: Zero Hours

Hours: Varied (20 to 37.5 hours per week)

Pay: £13 to £15 per hour

Residence Requirement: Minimum 5 years in the UK

Reports to: Exam Coordinator / Facilities Manager

Job Overview:

VITSPRO is expanding its invigilation team and invites applications for temporary, ad-hoc exam invigilator roles, which may lead to permanent positions based on experience and qualifications. Flexibility to work any day from Monday to Saturday and to be called at short notice is essential.

Responsibilities include invigilating computer-based exams, overseeing exam sessions, maintaining clean and organized venues, and ensuring smooth exam processes.

Key Responsibilities:


Exam Invigilation

  • Conduct testing sessions according to sponsor policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate scheduling and announcements of testing sessions.
  • Verify candidate identity and eligibility.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of exam materials and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve testing issues.
  • Conduct regular exam room walk-throughs.
  • Address candidate needs with understanding and respect.
  • Clearly explain test procedures to candidates.
  • Vigilantly monitor to prevent cheating, speaking, or use of prohibited items.


Housekeeping Duties

  • Clean exam rooms, hallways, and common areas (sweeping, dusting, wiping).
  • Ensure exam rooms are clean and orderly before and after sessions.
  • Restock supplies such as tissues, sanitizer, and essentials.
  • Inspect exam rooms and waiting areas, addressing cleanliness issues promptly.
  • Maintain restroom hygiene, refill supplies, and monitor conditions during exams.
  • Sanitize frequently touched surfaces regularly.
  • Ensure erasable boards and candidate workstations are clean before, during, and after exams.

Requirements

  • Prior invigilation or customer service experience preferred but not required (training provided).
  • Flexible availability to work at various locations, with schedules based on exam timetables.
  • Willingness to travel to exam centres; travel incentives available.
