AIG Lex London are a leading provider of excess casualty products in the surplus lines market. Lex-London underwriters combine deep expertise with a broad appetite for risk and are empowered to deliver for our clients and brokers. Clients also benefit from our extensive industry knowledge, specialised risk management and engineering services, and dedicated claims handling services.
About The Role
Based in our London office a minimum 4 days a week; AIG are looking for an experienced and accomplished Executive Assistant to provide key support to the UK Head Lexington and UK Head of Commercial Property. The successful candidate will need to be flexible, liaising with other Executive Assistants and Senior Management across global offices and across multiple time zones.
We are looking for a committed individual who has the ability to handle tasks with diplomacy, tact and care. It is essential you have supported at a senior level and ideally you will have previous experience within Underwriting teams.
- Extensive diary, travel and expenses management
- Attend numerous weekly/monthly meetings to take minutes, manage & chase actions to ensure all completed by deadlines and any pre-meeting preparation
- Management and organisation of shared drives
- Weekly collation of various spreadsheets & documents to be shared around company
- Meet & greet external guests, create & maintain a good relationship so are key point of contact
- Screening of calls/email/letters & following up as required
- Additional Profit Centre support when needed
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as an Executive Assistant, including confidence in and experience of dealing with senior management and external stakeholders
- A team player who is willing to engage with the team, help with other administrative duties
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including a good level of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Must be a highly organised individual with first rate secretarial skills
- A focus on producing accurate, high quality work is essential
- Must have the ability to respond to conflicting demands which may be on an urgent and ad-hoc basis, and prioritise workload appropriately
- Confidentiality and integrity is paramount
